The Super Hero lessons (power from within/self-talk/confident POWords and changing self-talk) have been fun, empowering, but challenging to my students. I have noticed my students to be a little shy at first in saying positive words about themselves, but as we continue lessons, I see them enjoying themselves and smile during these lessons. Despite the challenge of having 7th and 8th grade affirm their POWords and teaching them to move from a Fixed mindset to a Growth-mindset, it is a pleasure to see several enjoy and feel better about themselves.

The "I am brave, I am strong I am..etc..", he says they recite it along... I loved it, thank you! Thank you for helping our tiny humans love themselves, to believe in themselves.
It was very awesome to have heard this coming out from your class. It’s very important for their age and to know you add this to their time of education, I’m grateful and thank you once again for implementing this great self-esteem superhero complement.

 I just wanted to say that the program is a wonderful way to support students' self-esteem and boost their confidence. I am surprised at how well the students have embraced it. Students who are typically shy are the first to shout out their POWords. Both the students and the parents have given me positive feedback. Parents are amazed at how students take the assignment seriously and follow the directions exactly.
